On google wave

These days there is a lot of hype about google wave changing the future of web collaboration and email. Some argue that Google wave will replace email, while others rush to defend email, saying this new collaboration tool only complicates our ways of communication. Considering these speculations, It seems the truth might be something in the middle; Email will not disappear as it is a simple and efficient option, and other tools already offer part of the solutions Google wave contains. So new services like wave will more likely be integrated with the existing ones during work, rather than replacing them. Showdocument's easy-to-use online collaboration solution can be a great candidate for such integration.

Collaborating with web-based applications

Meeting online should be an available integrated part of any business, without the hassle of installation.

That's why in our opinion, the future of web meetings is web-based applications. don't you agree?
While many services and programs have high quality, some of them also create obstacles, like supporting only one platform or browser, which naturally does not fit for many users. The web-based application, on the other hand, enables you to work from any place and on any computer. But that's just a part of the idea. For web-based services to work for every business, they should be simple, light and accessible - while still packing multiple options to fit any kind of web conference. That is the purpose of ShowDocument.

Announcement! A web enabled Interactive Document Share application is available for Free

Welcome to new and exciting online document share free service!

HBR labs has been busy developing a day to day document share application allowing any user share document online interactively and for free. That application can be found at www.showdocument.com.

If one has a legal document, contract, presentation or even a school paper he or she wishes to discuss live while reviewing it at the same time – Show Document is the application that could help do just that. All one needs to do is take three steps:

1. Select a document you would like to share.
2. Upload it
3. Start the session

As soon as the session’s host is in, he or she gets a code that can be used to invite other people to join the session. The code for the session can be sent through chat or e-mail or mentioned simply over the phone.

The guest either clicks on the link or inserts the code on the home page and join the live Interactive session.

The application is still in a beta stage and feedback is welcome from all.

Below are some images reflecting how one gets in to the application, invite a friend and upload and work on a documnet:

Step 1: Select a document

Setps 2 and 3: Uload the document and Start session

Invite your friend

Discuss the document
